Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

Two Service Experts centers are making a statement this October with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both painting two of their company vans pink for the fight cure breast cancer.

During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be contributing 20% of all sales from their pink vans to the North Jersey Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help cure breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be contributing 5% of all sales from their pink vans plus $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second year Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to raise funds for breast cancer. In 2015, Fras-Air was able to raise over $7,000 for Komen North Jersey. David Schneider, General Manager of Fras-Air, and one of his employees both lost their mothers to other forms of cancer and were moved to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute reported that 107,184 women in New Jersey faced breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider stated. “While the amount of cases is actually declining each year, that still represents a significant number of families who are grappling with this disease, and that means there’s a serious need for research and support.”

Chris Overton, the General Manager for Service Experts of Raleigh, reiterated Schneider’s thoughts. “As reported by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the most prominent type of cancer in our state – for men and women.”
