Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning takes pride in sending NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes in North America every day. While this title of being Nate-Certified surely sounds reassuring, what does it actually mean?
nate certified technicians

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was created by and has been acknowledged by the entire HVACR industry for approximately 20 years. But, not all technicians in the business have to be NATE-Certified. The certification is discretionary and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems without the accreditation.

It’s important to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are sending the most skilled technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these standards, the NATE-Certification exams validate real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that evaluate the technician’s understanding of these standards.

Considering Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses mainly on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians achieve their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may gain certification in multiple areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be assured that the technicians at Service Experts are highly efficient and professional and will do the job right from the start. Our company has the know-how and skill set to not only fix your HVAC systems, but to take the best care of your equipment.
